How To Start Making Gold In WoW

First make sure and loot everything. You will notice that names of items you loot will be in different colors. If an item is in gray it is merchant fodder. Just run to a merchant and sell that stuff off. You will be amazed how fast it adds up. Now if an item has a name in white letters it means it can be used in trade skills.

These items are normally stackable and are great to sell on the auction house. A stack of meat or eggs for cooking or linen cloth for tailoring or first aid will sell very fast. Higher level players do not want to waste time farming to start working their trade skills up and will buy from the auction house to save time. Second make sure and check all merchants in towns for limited quantity items they sell. This will be shown by a number by the item in the merchant window showing how many of this item they have for sell. Another good mob to fight is the Plains Creeper spiders located in the Arathi Highlands.

These mobs will drop Spider silk about one times in ten. This spider silk is a component in level 19 twink items so it is in hot demand. It will sell for about one gold each. Another benefit to the Plains Creeper spiders is that they are a level 33 and can give you experience points also. Farming for gold doesn't really start to profit until you reach the higher level. When you get into the higher level gold farms, the items that are dropped are worth a lot more. You can really start to rack up a fair amount of gold at the higher levels. Read on to discover where some of these higher level gold farms are. Now, the gathering of a stack of copper took me no more than about 15mins, which equates to about 6-8 gold/hour. For a low level character, this basic strategy is a more efficient - and predictable - way of generating gold than trying to grind endless mobs.

The same principle applies to the other gathering professions - Herbalism, Skinning and Fishing (yes, fishing). By supplying what's in demand in the Auction House, you'll make gold fast. Jadefires in North West Felwood and Elementals in North West Sithius both drop good items that can bring in a lot of gold. But with some of the places, it is best to wait until you are at least level 55. With a few more hours of gameplay under his belt, my Gnome alt is now level 10 and has a stash of a little over 50 gold coins. But here's the thing: I've managed to level up his Engineering to 165! This was funded from buying most of the materials from the Auction House by careful and artful trading.
